National Geographic

Bee is buzzing your way!

The Homebuilders National Geographic Bee will be held on January 8th at Golden Hills from 2pm to 4pm.  Participants in grades 4-8th are able to compete. If you are interested in registering for this bee, please contact Lorraine Converse at 2twinmom@comcast.net. Email the name(s) of your student, their ages and grade level by Dec. 19th to register. There is an $8 fee per family to register and it is nonrefundable. Last year we had a wonderful turn out for the Bee and many students enjoyed participating and the thrill of answering questions in a time restrained format. It was thrilling and educational. Everyone who was there was astonished at how well they did or their friends performed. So don’t let your lack of geography keep you from coming! It’s a ton of fun and a great way to stretch that grey matter! We are looking for helpers and donations for the following: 3 judges, snacks, 2 cases of water, 2 packages of apple juice boxes. 1 box of manila folders, 1 box of paper clips or gator clips, 2 boxes of yellow pencils, 2 packages of (5x7) lined notepads.  For more information about the Bee, please visit: http://www.nationalgeographic.com/geographybee/
